Calendar Class Schedule Class Schedule The Seminole County Fire Training Center offers courses for fire, rescue, and hazardous materials response personnel. All class content follows NFPA, OSHA, and Florida Division of State Fire Marshal guidelines and requirements. We strive to deliver real-life scenarios using a variety of on-site training props and equipment. Our instructors and staff take great pride in our facility, equipment, and the high quality of instruction provided to each course participant. Click on a class below to begin the enrollment process: Aerial Operations This course curriculum can be designed around the requirements of the requesting fire department. Classroom lectures and practical exercises are conducted in the principles and uses of aerial and pumper apparatus, including the recognition of hazards which may be presented during aerial operations. The curriculum also includes classroom lectures and exercises in the principles, uses, and tactical and safe placement of platform apparatus. Students must bring gloves and proper attire for water pumping exercises. September 23-27, 2024, 8:30AM - 5:30PM (full) Seminole County Fire Training Center Confined Space Rescue, Operations & Technician Levels This is an NFPA 1670 compliant course, accredited through FCDICE. Students will be performing technician level skills in simulated and actual confined spaces. Prerequisite: Rope Rescue (Operations Level) is preferred, but not mandatory. December 9-13, 2024, 8:30AM - 5:30PM (2 seats left) Seminole County Fire Training Center Hazardous Materials Technician This FCDICE-approved course is based on the IAFF 160-hour Hazardous Materials Technician curriculum. It will prepare participants to take the State of Florida Hazardous Materials Technician Certification Exam. This is a 4-week course and attendance of all 20 days is required in order to receive a certificate. This is a 5-day course and attendance of all five days is required in order to receive a certificate.
